I started my yoga journey as an outlet for cross training in preparation for running half marathons. I dove deeper into the practice after completing my BS in Kinesiology, the study of body movement, at California State University San Marcos. In 2017, I completed my RYT 200 hour training at Mantra Yoga & Juice Bar in Carlsbad. I have a knowledgeable background in proper body mechanics and alignment. Since becoming a yoga teacher, I have completed my SUP Yoga Teacher Training at Floating Yogis. Recently, I received my RYT 300 through the Soul Of Yoga, and am currently working towards my Yoga Therapy Certification to help individuals on their healing journey through pranayama, asana, and meditation. I love how yoga gives me the opportunity to be creative and connected to the mind, body, and soul. I would like everyone to receive the wonderful benefits that can come from the practice. When I am not practicing yoga, I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, wakeboarding, SUP, mountain biking, and staying active. I love to travel and lead a life filled with adventures.
I grew up in a small town in Arizona, and moved to San Diego, California to go to college. I mountain hopped a bit and ended up in South Lake Tahoe.
My sister is my role model; she is eleven years older than me. I love how she has always pursued her passions, is not afraid of anything, and loves to travel as much as I do!
I found yoga to be really helpful for cross training when I was running half marathons. I took my 200-hour yoga teacher training, with no intention of teaching, but to gain knowledge in my own practice. On graduation day we had to teach in front of our friends and family, and I fell in love with teaching. I gained this confidence I didn’t know I had, and it was very powerful to see how my voice and guidance could help so many people! Currently, I am working on my Yoga Therapy Certification. I am still learning and teaching and will forever be a student!
Everything about teaching yoga gives me joy. I love to help others and I feel like I am making an impact when I teach.
I would like to see yoga offered to everyone. I think the world would be a much more peaceful place.
